A proper saddle fit is essential to the comfort and performance of your horse. Fit can often be difficult to achieve for a variety of reasons - weight loss or gain of your horse, using your saddle on a variety of horses, etc.
Wither Pads are designed to assist with/alleviate saddle fitting issues. The Pads are created using wool roping hand-latched onto a burlap foundation, using the same method as the Wool Saddle Blankets. They are shaped to a taper that goes over the withers and then flares on each side to provide cushioning for the shoulder blades. They can be used next to a horse's hair, or on top of a saddle pad, and may be just what is needed to ensure a comfortable saddle fit for your horse. Can be used with Western or English saddles. The pads are approximately 1- 1 1/2 "(2.5-3cm) thick, and approximately 1lb.(0.45kg) weight. Comes in solid colors: White, Light Grey, Dark Grey.
